Who?
The Committee has responsibility for organising and co-ordinating the events over this fantastic two day festival.
Led by a Core-Committee, made up of a group of willing (gullible) members of Hampton in Arden, all wanting to provide a fabulous two days for the families within the community, and ably supported by the Chairs/Leaders of the main groups, clubs, businesses and organisations within the village, the Festival is a chance for everyone to come together and celebrate.
When this event began for the Diamond Jubilee in 2012, the committee only foresaw it being a one-off, however such was the success of the event and appetite for a large community gathering, that the committee did it all over again 12 months later. This was repeated again in 2014. At this point the committee felt that it had taken the event as far as it could and had made their contribution. A huge thank you must go to every member of that original committee for their hard work, enthusiasm and determination, without which the festival would not exist. Now the festival has grown into an event that is loved and enjoyed by all the community, gives opportunities for all village stakeholders to be involved and raises money that can then be invested back into the community to benefit all. A huge thank you to the core committee members for their tireless efforts in organising this fabulous event.
