The Weekend
Started in 2012, for the Queen's Diamond Jubilee, the Hampton in Arden Festival is a weekend of fun involving the whole village community. It usually begins a few weeks before as the Scarecrows begin to appear in readiness for the festival weekend. After 3 years (due to the impact of COVID) without it, we hope to re-instate the Scarecrow Festival this year, 2023.
On Saturday the festival begins at 11am and involves a range of activities, to include a selection from: The 'Church Fete' (stalls galore), the 'Bake off' (tea/coffee, cake, plants etc), Live Music, Hampton Gym demonstrations, TheatreTrain performance, 'Classic Car Show' (A large range of cars all linked to the village), Tennis Tournament, Welly Wanging, Football Penalty Competition, BBQ, Bouncy Castles, Ice Cream Van and much more. On the Sunday our Vicar leads an outdoor Church Service, followed by the 'Community Lunch' and, sometimes, a Village Cricket match. |
